256.4.... How did I let myself
get to this point. I don't know why I'm so surprised, my highest weight is
almost 30 lbs more. I think the problem for me is that last summer I had worked
my way all the way down to 220. Still not where o wanted to be but closer than
256. This last year was the toughest that I have ever endured, although I had a
blast along the way, I'm not following the oath that was set for me. But more
on that later. Throughout this year I have started some extremely unhealthy
habits that have distracted my paths, but I'm finally reclaiming my life. No
better time like the present. I was supposed to start last Sunday, and that
turned into last Thursday with the rest of my job for our Health Challenge. But
I'm a diet cheater that likes Empire Slice and Austin East Honey Cider. So today Tuesday July 14th, I shall begin.
Two days from my 30th birthday. Yikes, I have under 48hrs in my twenties.
So I will be embarking on several
challenges in the true JoAnna fashion. Yes I will indulge on my birthday
because hell it’s my birthday. And yes you'll think I'm crazy for my goals and
someone will probably tell me it's unhealthy, or unsafe. But let's just clarify
my body, my journey, and my goals. Plus I would like to point out on the
healthy weight chart for my frame, height and age I should be between 121 and 174.
So looking at the scale I'm over that weight by 100lbs. That puts my BMI at
41.36 which is in the morbidly obese range. I have made my asthma more
irritated than ever, and I have aches and pains like no other. I have back
problems, and occasionally my feet hurt at the end of the day. I have trouble
sleeping, and I have developed skin allergies out of nowhere. So when we talk
about unhealthy weight loss let's remember these stats as well.
Now what are these crazy goals?
Well for starters I'm sure I will add more as I go along and right now I have
12 personal goals.
1.Meet My Goal Weight By December 31(I refuse to go into 2016 overweight)
2.Lose 90lbs in 90days(day 1 being today)
3. Run the Entire HITS Marathon
4. Complete a Spartan by the end of 2015
5. Commit to Eating a Clean Diet
6. Two-A-Days for the next 90 days
7. A Gallon of Water for 30days
8. Juice 3 days a month
9. 49 lbs in the next 7 weeks
10. Trifecta in 2016
11. Hike The Entire PCT
12. Blog my entire journey daily
In conclusion my number one goal
in life is to be an example of what to follow. I want to be the voice for the
girl who loses weight differently. The girl who yoyo diets, and uses starvation
methods. The girl who doesn't know she's beautiful, regardless of her size. The
girl who craves a life of adventure but allows her size to hold her back. The
Hispanic and African American girl who loses weight differently. But most
importantly I want to be the voice that challenges ME. See you tomorrow.
